The Hotel Saturnia is housed in palace built in the 14th century (one of the oldest in Venice) that was owned by the Pisani Family, whose most illustrious member, Vettor Pisani (1324-1380) was appointed Admiral of the powerful Republic of Venice during the conflicts with the Genoese fleet over who should control merchant trading in the Mediterranean sea.

Established in 1908 by Ugo and Zoe Serandrei, the hotel has been managed by the same family for four generations, welcoming guests from all over the world, creating a solid tradition of hospitality.

The restaurant is open all year round. “La Caravella” with its unique and refined ambience (inside during the window, and outside during the summer).

In the summertime, clients can enjoy the hotel's terrace and solarium and its splendid view across the rooftops of Venice, and the cupola of the Church of the Madonna della Salute (Our Lady of Good Health).

After a refreshing night's sleep, guests can enjoy a rich buffet-style breakfast in the "Cortile" room. In the summer season, it is served in our typical Venetian courtyard.

The hotel's 91 rooms are all different, with bathroom equipped with hair dryer, mini bar, telephone, Internet connection, satellite television with radio, digital combination safe, sprinkler and individually-controlled air conditioning.

Some rooms have exposed beams or lacunar ceilings, others feature a calce rasata finish (traditional Venetian method of finishing walls). All rooms are stylishly furnished.

The large salon on the ground floor, characteristic of Venetian patrician palaces, captures the ambience of ancient Venice.

The hotel's interior boasts elegant furnishings, in keeping with early 20th-century style, which is evident in the marble bas-reliefs, in the hammered metal lamps, tinted glass and lacunar ceiling.
