Hotel Londra Palace is a historic 5-star property overlooking the San Marco Basin, along the scenic Riva degli Schiavoni. Opened in 1853 under the name “Hôtel d’Angleterre & Pension,” it was later joined with the neighboring Beau Rivage Hotel, creating the iconic façade with 100 windows facing the lagoon. Designed by engineer Fuin in neo-Lombard style, the hotel has preserved its 19th-century charm over time, becoming a favorite retreat for artists and intellectuals. Among its most renowned guests was the Russian composer Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, who composed part of his Fourth Symphony here in 1877.
The hotel recently reopened in 2024 after major renovations led by Studio Ruberti Cutillo. The restoration preserved period features such as frescoes, original parquet floors, and antique boiseries, enhancing them with contemporary design and soft lighting. The result is a timeless and elegant atmosphere that tells the story of Venice through refined interiors and curated details.
